Wrestling Wednesday

Thank you to all the kitties and beans who said I (Napoleon!)was the cutest one. And for those of you who said we were equally as cute or that Hunter was cute...well, I shall leave a steaming present for you! Mwaaahaaahaa! (lol)

Momma says she's getting ready for a trip soon. I don't know what that means, but Hunter says she goes away for a really long time and that she stops in every couple of days to empty the litter box, fill the water bowl, and importantests of all....fill the food thingie. My momma has weird business trips. She says its not feasible to stay overnight at home, but that she can steal 3 hours to come home and make sure we is ok. Plus she has the neighbor girl peek in the cat viewing window and make silly faces at us, while she is feeding the outdoor kitties everyday. WE have a special food dispenser that is really big, but the outdoor kitties don't have one cause of the 'coons. I haven't seen one of these things, but momma says they is verrrry big and eats lots of kitty food. Are they masked kitties? Why are they eating my big outdoor brother and sister's foods? Were they invited for dinner??

Anyways, momma says she'll try to post something from her momma's house where there is a momma kitty and 5 babies under the house, as well as two orange indoor/outdoor kitties. Momma stays at her momma's house when she is on her trips... I guess I'm still too little to figure out why I can't come with her. I promised to only half way terrorize the grandma's house if she would lets me come, but momma says not this time. We shall have to drag all of the toys out and leave them everywhere so that when momma stops by, she will trip on them....then she'll know she should have broughts us, well...at least me...hehehe.

PS...Momma found this and giggled hissssterically, I don't think its that funny, but you judge.

Artsy Kitty

Its not fair that my friend Luxor always gets the cute black and white photos! I messed around with a photo momma just took and I think I looks real handsome in black in white. I'm gonna add the original photo too, you decide. Course, cause my colors pretty close to black and white...its pretty similar.

My brother, Hunter, is all black so momma says black and white photos don't work for him...hehe, guess I'm best!

Eh hmmmm! Hunter breaking in here. You is not best you little stinker! I'm older, I'm bestest!!!! Momma, add a picture of me too...show everyone how handsomes and shiny I is!
Ok, kids!! Behave yourselves!!...here's a photo of Hunter..click to biggify and don't forget to comment about how shiny he is, or I'll never hear the end of it!

Feeling Fine Friday

Momma says she had it out with the "net" peoples and everything is ok now. I is really glad about that. I love my net and all the cool bloggies and fine felines out there!
As you can tell in this picture, momma is making me where a collar now. I had a really fun time trying to get it off the first time she put it on. I had to holler alot cause I could get one paw in there but then couldn't get my paw back. Momma came to my rescue but she was giggling an awful lot!
She says I have to wear it cause I is soooo small and she is tired of almost steping on me when she doesn't see me hiding around the corner or just under the bed or wherever I end up. The bells let her know I'm coming tearing down the hallway too.

Now its not fair!!! Use to be just Hunter had the bells, and I could always trick him and pounce on him...and now, he knows I'm coming. :( NO FAIR!!!!
I demand a new silent collar, I must have my stealth abilities so I can truely play hide and pounce. I use to win that game all the time!!

SPECIAL MESSAGE

So sad today~~~UPDATED~~~~

UPDATE: After going down the to local office of my internet provider, was able to find out the problems are infact being addressed and I have decided to remain a customer. Napoleon will do a regular posting on Friday. Thanks everyone!

After much problems with my stupid internet provider I am going offline. It might be awhile before I can get back online, and I definetly won't be able to add pictures to my blog until I do, but I promise when I get the opportunity at different computers I will update with little stories.

Thank you all for reading my blog and I hope to be back someday soon. Take care of your furry ones and your beans.

I love my big brother!!!

Here I am snuggled up again with my brother, Hunter. This is one of the few kinds of pictures my momma can get, because its the only time I'm not running all over the place. I've discovered its lots of fun to run across momma back and forth in the morning. Eventually she gets up, and I can attack her toes!!

My momma says I shoulds talk about some interesting things about myself that you might not know. So here is 3 things you might not knows about me:

1. I have a tiny kink in my tail.
You probably can't even see it, but when momma gives scritches and pets she says she feels it there.

2. I love cheese!!
Momma made the mistake of giving me a taste of cheese when she was cooking, now I sit under her feet when she goes in the kitchen and I let out a meow if she forgets to give me a bite!!

3. I love to jump off of stuff.
I think its super duper fun to climb up really high and jump! Momma thinks I'm a daredevil and can't believe how high I will climb. I likes to get up as high as possible and make a flying leap. I don't really jump, I hurtle myself out into space and I feel likes I am flyin!!!

And now its time to go beg my brother to play a game of hide and pounce~! See you all on wednesday!

Mom!! He's ruining my closeup!!!

Happy friday the 13th! My momma says thats a special day, but I don't know why. Anyway as you can tell in this photo, my big brother Hunter had to stick his paw infront of my face just as mom was about to take MY close up! He's my bestest bud sometimes and a royal pain in my cute tushy other times.

Mom says she finally got the internet to work, but I think she's been holding out on me so she can hog it! Anyways, next week she says she'll let me post on monday, wednesday, and friday and that she's gonna make that "our" blogging days. I don't know what all this "our" is about cause I'm the one sitting here tippity typitting all the night long while she sleeps. Ohhh, that reminds me, time to run across her face to let her know I'm still awake...hehehe
See you all on monday, be careful of the black kitties this friday the 13th...unless they are named Hunter, Grr, Cocoa,or Midnight. ;)

Tuckered out Tuesday

Sorry we didn't post yesterday, but the internet has been going down all day for the last 2 days. We are barely online right now, just enough to post this and let you know we will be posting in the future.
Enjoy the cute pic of Napoleon and Hunter snuggling together. They really love each other.
I look forward to posting more stuff later this week once they fix the connections out here.

Sleepy Sunday

Momma thanks you all for the birthday wishes while I take a nap, see you all on Monday!

July 7, 2007

I'm doing something naughty!!!

Its been hot out lately so in the evenings momma opens up all the doors and windows. Not my fault they have this wonderful new scratching post material. I have to try my new very sharp claws on them!! Momma says "hhhiiissstttt" and "hey, stop that!" Like I know what she's talking about? Its ok, eventually I stopped on my own. Peoples gots to learn who is the real rulers in the relationship, and I'm teaching mine right from the start. (p.s I gots down just fine, no worries)

Hunter lets momma pick him up and do all sort of undignified smoochy things and he lets her rub his tummy alot. I let her know right away that I'm a very aristocratic kitty. I have my furry dignity!! I only let her do those mushy things when I first wake up or right before bed time. I still like to sleep in momma's bed, but now I curl up behind her back down where Hunter sleeps too. I really love my very big brother!! I'm lucky too that Hunter seems to have lots of energy and wants to play almost as much as me. He lets me run around and pounce on him and practice all my wrestling moves on him. Momma says I bonded with him, butI don't know what that means...cause I ain't seen no glues anywhere and I wouldn't like it in my fur anyways!

It my momma's 30th birthday today 7-7-07 (thats alot of 7's!!), so anyways she says I haves to be extra special nice today as her friend is coming to visit with her two twin girls. Momma said she's gonna bring out the flashy thing and take tons of pics, but she doesn't know I plan on hiding under the bed the whole time the drooling things are here! hehehe

July 4, 2007

No more photos today Mom!!!

I have had enough photos today mom, its a holiday!! Besides you said I could look at that cute overload website to see if I'm gonna be on it some day, cause darn it, I is ador-able!!!

HAPPY 4TH Everyone!!! See you after the holiday!

Cuddle Time with Hunter, a great Big Brother!

Napolean here again, I still haven't figured out exactly how I want to spell my name...maybe Napoleon maybe Napolean. I guess it depends on if I turn into a big manly kitty or a sleek manly kitty...lol. My new momma tells me for sure I'm a boy, and I say "duh! I knew that!!" But you know peoples, they gots to talk all about stuff we already knows about.

After my second day here and fearlessly conquering the entire bedroom I was ready to step out the doorway where before I just sat there and stared down the hall.
My third day I dared to creep softly down the long hallway and peer at the kitchen and dinning room. I didn't go in either one of them, but I very quickly learned it was fun to run all the way down the hall and back again, ducking behind the bedroom door to pounce on my new favorite big brother. He tells me HE has 3 names, Cashmeer Growlypants Hunter. I asked my new momma why I only gots one name, she said give her time. Hmm, I shall have to purr viciously loud tonight to get my point across! I am conquering her by being incredible adorable, so far the plan is working...she is putty in my little bitty paws...muuuhaha!!!!

Even when I am just relaxing, my cuteness is overpowering you!!!!

My Second Day

As you can tell, in my second day I progressed from being sole ruler of the bathroom to conquering all of the master bedroom. I fearlessly encountered and won over the great and mighty big kitty who tells me his proper name is Growly Pants the mighty Hunter. I think he makes an excellent pillow! We snuggled right away and he became my new big brother. He tells me he misses his sister, MeiLin, an awful lot and that it makes it a little easier to have another part meezer in the family. My new momma talks about MeiLin too, I never seen her, but I smell where she use to cuddle up on my momma's pillows and I decided thats a great spot to sleep too.

My momma is gonna turn off the computer for a few days cause she's got to go to the hospital for an angiogram, but as soon as she gets home she promised I can get back on and post more adorable pics of my cute Napolean self!

June 22, 2007

I did not need a bath on my first day!!!!

This is Napolean stealing the blog today to introduce myself. I may be only 6 weeks old, but I is a very accomplished and fearless kitty! I will tell you about my first day here at my new home.

First my new mommy came down and picked me out the litter of 5 brofurs and sisfurs. She picked each one of us up and looked at us and cuddled us. I tried the hardest to purr, look adorable, and it worked cause she picked me!

At first she didn't take me home, she waited 2 weeks cause I was still too young to leave my first momma. But then the beans there said theys were worried the viscious doggies that run loose would eat us kittens, so my new mommy came back early and took me home.

She was upset about another kitty who use to lives in the house, but I never met that kitty so I don'ts know about her. I did notice another biiiiigggg kitty in the house, but I didn't really meet hims till the second day.

The first day, my new mommy put me in the kitty bathroom. There was two litterboxes in there and a dish with yummy food and water. I sniffed at everything and decided I would lay on the purple rugs. I stayed in that room the whole first day. I went over every single inch of it. Everytime my new mommy came in the room I would let her pick me up and pet me. I loved her visits. She came in there alot just to visit me and reassure me. I gots me a good new momma. Sometims I hid behind the big people litterbox when the biiiig kitty came in, but for the most part I conquered the room. I held my position for a whole day, before I decided to expand my territory to include mommys sleeping place, but I'll get into that the next time I blog.

Thanks for listenin to my story, I hopes to add the computer room to my permanent territory and conquer the internet soon! P.S. as you can tell, my new momma made me take a bath the first day, she learned her lesson though and I don't thinks I have to ever do that again, lol.
MEeeeOooooW, Napolean out!

Not a Tortie, but.....

(UPDATE: Jesse now has a forever home)

I'm gonna put a link in here, if I can remember how....its for Jesse. I have her listed on Craigslist. if you know anyone in Oregon, who is looking to adopt a wonderful little 16 pound dog who needs a forever home, please send them this link.

Several different people who said they would adopt her, have fallen through and I really want her to be in a forever home soon. She bonds very quickly but is scared the first time she meets you...lots of info on her ad on craigslist.
There is an adoption fee of 100 dollars but this includes not only Jesse but also some food, collar, leash, medium dog carrier and a certification for her rabies shot. I have had to pay for her vet visit and shot, and I really really do not have the money to spay her and get the rest of her shots and keep her. This is not a dog I got for myself, I am only fostering her because her previous owner is now in jail for the next year and can't look for a new home for Jesse.

June 18, 2007

This is a picture of Jesse a year and half beagle female who I am fostering. Everytime I think about adopting a dog permanently, I first foster one. I am so glad that I have the opportunity to do that. I really am more of a kitty person.
Dogs are great, but alot more work then a cat.

Why haven't you posted pictures of me recently,MEOW!

Well its been a while since I lasted posted, alot of things have happened...been busy.
Had a sad thing happen with MeiLin. She went missing for about 2 weeks, and then finally came home limping. I gave her a 24 hour time to see if it was just swollen, sprained or if it was hurt worse. She never complained and was so sweet about it. I took her into the vet and they did x-rays. Turns out her leg was broken in such a way that the only choices were to either to have the 1800 dollar pin surgery, the 800 dollar amputation or to put her to sleep.
I was bawling and so upset, I haven't cried that hard in a really long time. I couldn't leave her in pain, and I didn't have any way to come up with even 800 dollars. So I made the difficult choice to put her down. I cried on the phone, in the car on the drive back, and again while at the vets office.

I signed the paperwork and was going into the room to hold MeiLin and comfort her in her last moments. I was so very very sad...and at the last possible moment, as I am holding her in my arms again, the vet tech comes back in and says the vet is willing to do the surgery if I surrender MeiLin. They would pay for all her future costs and find her a good home. My choice at this point was either to have her die or to give her away to another family. I said "of course, yes, I will surrender her!!!!!" It was a hard thing leaving her forever, but I will know in my heart that I have made the right choice for her well being. I miss her horribly, however my other pets are keeping me so occupied that I am not able to dwell on it too much.

I have a dog I am fostering till she goes to her new home on the 30th and I got a new kitten from the neighbors. I wanted to wait a few more weeks before bringing it home,so that Jesse would be in her new home and not scaring the kitten .
I had been down there to see the kitten a couple of weeks ago already and knew right away I wanted it...but they were going to give them all away this weekend, so I brought the new baby home. I'm not exactly sure if its a boy or a girl, I think its a boy...but will know for sure in about 2 weeks when things get more pronounced.
If its a girl her name will be Nefertiti and if its a boy his name will be Napolean.

I'll try to start updating a few times a week. Look forward to getting back in the swing of things, to help take my mind of my loss.

Not my cat

Cat on ice

Found this and had to share it with the world...a kitty on a frozen Koi Pond, so desperately wants to have his/her chance to umm "meet" the koi fishies. ;)

Poetry in motion

Just a quick photo to show my darling Hunter. He's gotten very ummm, how do you say, big boned? lol. Do not tell him that tummy shouldn't be that round. He's a lover-dover who lets me rub on his soft satiny belly all the time now. I was trying to get a good photo, but he kept moving around and insisting that he had to meow when I tried to get a face only photo. So, here we have him in mid-step. :)

Still super busy, not sure when I'll be able to begin posting daily, but I am going to try to post once a week when I can. :)

Tall Tale, lol

An oldie but goody, enjoy!

Excerpts from a Cat's Daily Diary:
Day 683 of my captivity: My captors continue to taunt me with bizarre > dangling objects. They dine lavishly on fresh meat, while the other inmat es and myself are fed hash or some sort of dry nuggets. Although I make my contempt for the rations perfectly clear, I nevertheless must eat something in order to keep up my strength. The only thing that keeps me going is my dream of escape... In an attempt to disgust them, I once again vomit on the floor.
Today I decapitated a mouse and dropped its headless body at their feet. I had hoped this would strike fear into their hearts, since it clearly demonstrates what I am capable of. However, they merely made condescending comments about what a "good little hunter" I am. The audacity!
There was some sort of assembly of their accomplices tonight. I was placed in solitary confinement for the duration of the event. However, I could hear the noises and smell the food. I overheard that my confinement was due to the power of "allergies." I must learn what this means, and how to use it to my advantage.
Today I was almost successful in an attempt to assassinate one of my tormentors by weaving around his feet as he was walking. I must try this again tomorrow -- but at the top of the stairs.
I am convinced that the other prisoners here are flunkies and snitches. The dog receives special privileges. He is regularly released --and seems to be more than willing to return. He is obviously retarded! The bird has got to be an informant. I observe him communicating with the guards regularly. I am certain that he reports my every move. The captors have arranged protective custody for him in an elevated cell, so he is safe....... for now...

Feb. 28, 2007

I'm going to take a break from regular blogging for awhile. I may put a picture every once in a while, but I will post when I'm ready to get back into it full time again. Thanks to you all and see you when I return.

Feb. 23, 2007

More adorable puppies!!!!!

Ok, I skipped a day, but at least you still get to see puppies!!!!!!

Feb. 21, 2007

The next two days are devoted to puppies!!

Ceasar is home, eating well and seems to have little desire to leave the front porch area. I sure wish I knew what he had been up to for those missing days. I'm just glad to have him home again though!

Feb 20, 2007

More cute kittys

Watch where it shuts off, at the very end of the video...lol.

BTW: You'll never guess who came home this morning!!!! After about 10 long, dark, and dreary days Ceasar came home!!!!!!!!!!!! He's lost a bit of weight, but has no wounds or any marks on him. I wonder where he's been and what he's been up to all these days. He's eating well and sticking around on the front porch. I'm so incredibly happy!!!!!!!

Feb 19, 2007

More kittens

I'll post more pics of my pets and talk again when I'm feeling a little less blue.

Feb 18, 2007

Listen for the tiny purr...

Feb. 17, 2007

Its a sad day here.

Last weekend while away, I had the neighbor girl come feed my outdoor kitties. She says that the day before I came home was the last time she saw Caesar. I thought, well maybe he's out wandering around. But I went out and looked for him in the woods and all over the neighboorhood. I could not accept the loss of another of my favorites. I know we are suppose to love all our furry kids the same, but there was an unbreakable bond between the two of us. I feel the same way about Rajjah and MeiLin. Oh, CGPH and Empress Tao have my love and devotion but the specialness isn't the same. I've gone through the same things as I did when Rajjah went missing but from what I understand the cougar has been leaving tracks in the woods nearby again. I shudder to think that Caesar was eaten, instead I will have him in my mind as someone picked him up because of how beautiful he is. And the person stole him and keeps him indoors loving him forever.
On top of all this, MeiLin had gotten out last week while she was in heat and was gone for 6 hours before I caught her. Well, turns out she did get pregnant....but she miscarried yesterday and was in pain, vomitting, and is now exhausted. I never knew a cat could miscarry. I know its for the best, that we don't need anymore kittens...but its heartbreaking to see a loved one go through that. I probably won't have any light hearted posts for awhile, though I'll try to come up with something. I miss Caesar so much and I worry that I might have to take MeiLin to the vet if she doesn't perk back up in the next 24hours.

Feb. 14, 2007

You can't see me!!

I am the great and mighty Hunter, you can not see me as I am all stealthy and stuff! Pay no attention to the glowing eyes....lol.

Sorry it took me a few days to post, but it kept trying to force me to switch to the new google blogger and I DID NOT want to do that. I am not a very big supporter of huge mega companies, and this particular company is getting its little fingers into every pie nowadays. Anyway, I had to make the switch or I couldn't use blogger anymore. Which is unfair in my opinion, you are forced to agree or you can't use their service. :( Well, I'll get over my pout and get back to pleasant pictures of my pretty kitties! :) :)

Here's some kittens, not mine, but cute!!!

Special Day!

You'll never know how much your loved, till you look at all the blogs! :)

Feb. 08. 2007

Toes are yummy!

MeiLin loves to pounce on my feet and occasionally has been known to lick them and nibble them.

Feb. 07, 2007

Back again!

This picture you can see CGPH is trying to hide in the doorway to pounce on unsuspecting MeiLin. hehe!

After a very very long week, I'm grateful to be home again with my loving darlings.
Sadly, was not able to get the cheap spay I was suppose to be able to get. And of course, MeiLin is back in heat. This morning she escaped outside for 6 hours, and I had to go over hill and dale to get her back. She was not a pretty creamy white color, she was now all muddy brown. She did not appriciated the bath but it was a nonnegotiable event...lol.
She doesn't have her collar on right now, because she is still grooming herself dry. So I have to be extra careful and not even open the front door until she gets her collar back on. I'm worried she might have met a friendly boy kitty during her six hour adventure. She still seems to be in heat, but I'm not sure how long that lasts after they have an indiscretion. Will she for sure be pregnant or maybe fingers crossed and no kittens??
I assure you if there are kittens, that I will be very very dillagent and find them all great homes, but I really am hoping that this will not be the case. I'm going to start calling around and find out if there is a place I can get the spay done for less then the 150 dollar price I've been quoted. I was suppose to get it for only 15 dollars. HUGE difference. :(

Feb. 02, 2007

Still out of town, going to be back for good on tuesday, but I hope to take a few photos when I stop by my house late tonight, maybe show the mess the kitties make when they know I'm not there. They are sure to be very vocal in their dislike of me being gone so long. Which is why I stop in briefly if possible during my trips.

Jan. 29, 2007

The urges are over, so we don't have to worry about kittens!! I thought you might enjoy looking at kittens though, so here's a clip of some very round kittens meowing their cute little heads off.

Jan 24, 2007

ooooppppsssssss

I guess I should stop saying I'm gonna post the next day, cause I usually forget..lol. Anyway, just wanted to do a quick update here. MeiLin is still in heat! Its a lot less intense then it was a few days ago, but I can NOT wait to get her fixed...whew!

I tried to seperate MeiLin and CGPH as he was acting oddly around her, he would sniff her no-no area and then get this disgusted look on his face...and then smack her. She meanwhile is like, hey...your a male right? lol, poor MeiLin, he's fixed. CGPH really just wanted to play with her, but she wasn't in the mood for that. So anyway, I seperated them in different rooms. Wheeeew, what a mistake that was! Poor CGPH has very very bad seperation anxiety and starting crying and crying for HOURS, trying to figure out where she was. He didn't want to do anything with her, just wants to lay next to her and cuddle and play fight occasionally. I figured it wasn't worth the added noise to keep them seperate, though someone had an out of litterbox experience...so I did have to move them both to the garage for now. Anyway, I'm keeping an eye on their behavior...and on MeiLin's booboo. It still hasn't healed very much and I'm worried the vet won't do the spay unless she's at 100% physically.

I'm getting ready to go out of town again, and I'm debating whether to bring them both with me. This just doesn't seem like the right time to leave them alone...even though temporarly moving is a huge drama too. I'm hoping to take her to the vet which is only few miles away from my mother's house, while I'm there...but I need to keep her seperate so she doesn't eat before surgery... I definetly do not want to wait any longer then necessary as I don't want her going back into heat ever ever again!!!

Jan. 22, 2007

Another new pet? Meow, tell me it isn't so Ma!!

Ok, so its not another real live pet...lol. But MeiLin was very conserned for a minute there! I finally got my The Sims2 Pets expansion pack!! WHOOO HOOO! I didn't get it from christmas, even thought I dropped alot of hints....so I went and bought it myself. lol. Ok, I'm almost 30...prezzies aren't as plentiful as they was when I was 12. :) So anyway, now that I finally got my hearts desire...I was playing and playing and playing for hours. Teaching my new furry one commands and tricks. This pet is a female dog named Abbey. She was adopted from the sim pound, so she already knows lots of neat tricks and stuff. Course my little sim family have 5 non-furry children and only two adults, so Abbey invites over her doggie boyfriend and they shred furniture while the sim adults are taking care of the babies, toddlers and kids. Its really funny and an addictive game, especially if you don't have a very active social real life.
But best to not forget the real life furry pets...they will announce themselves loudly outside the computer room if you play too long with the sim pets!! MEOOOOWWWW!

MeiLin is still in heat, but its easing...so thats really good. I'll do an update on her and poor CGPH tomorrow.

Jan. 19, 2007

I got the urges!!

In this pic I am snuggled up with my brofur Cashmere Growlypants Hunter, but you can't see the urges that are surging thru my furry body. About 5 minutes from this picture I'm about to start some noisys you won't believe!
I heard all about this v-e-t visit and this ladygardenectomy....and I won't stand for it! I'm a yowling loud and siamese proud! My bean keeps on telling me "no, No kittens,NO!!!!!" but I's don't know exactly what shes talkn bout. I gots the urges and I gots to meet the boy kitties that are outside...I gots to get thumbs so I cans open up the doors!!!! MEEEEEOOOOOOOWWWWWWW!!!!

Jan. 18, 2007

Can you see my owie?

When I returned from my working vacation, I saw this wound on MeiLin's head above her eye. I think that maybe she and CGPH were play fighting and got a little rough. I'm keeping an eye on it, hopefully it won't mean we have to go to the vet early. She already is getting a hint about the ladygardenectomy surgery planned for Feb. and she isn't amused.lol.

Jan 16, 2007

Snuggling

I made it back! It snowed during the week I was gone, but I made it back out to my house once and turned up the heat for the indoor kitties and put out fresh clean dry towels in the kitty shelter for the outdoor cats. The temp never got above freezing long enough for the snow to melt and this early morning it started raining. Now my car is parked at the end of a very very long road. Hoping that the 40 degrees will hit the shady spots enough to thaw it out later today.

Jan. 7, 2006

Quick note and a photo of me...

No picture of the furry kids, thought I'd add a photo of myself today. I do NOT normally ever wear makeup, but since I had to do an interview they wanted me to have contacts, my hair cut and styled, and wear oodles of makeup. I normally quite happily wear my glasses and my hair up in a pony tail. I'm a tomboy at heart, but what are you gonna do when someone else pays for it all?
The reason I have to be gone on monday is I'm going to LA to help a friend of mine be on the *Censored* show. Sadly its not a topic I want to really talk about on here, but if you want to see it I'll let you know the airdate. This is an official warning, it does not relate to pets in anyway and is NOT appropriate for children or teens.
I promise when I return, I'll let you know when it airs (if I know) and then we'll move on and get some photos of my kitties back on this blog.

They send their purrs and thanks you for your patience.

**This post was edited to remove the name of the show. Those who read it before know what show I said, but since I've now signed a confidentially form I can't talk about it....got to cover the bases.

What do you mean your leaving again??

I can't really go into details about one potential short trip I might be making on Monday-Tuesday, as there is some confidentiality issues ect.
However, even if I don't make that trip, I will be gone till the 15th on a different trip. I hope to be able to blog occasionally while I'm gone on the longer trip, but if you don't see anything till the 15th, you'll know why.

A pile of furry cuteness!

The kittys have very easily gone from barely tolerating each other to now the best of friends. They cuddle up together on my bed all the time, and its sooo cute! The best part is that I have a queen size bed and recently bought a new pillow for myself. Well, turns out that the pillow isn't quite right so it got shifted to the unused (sigh!) half of the bed. Every morning now when I wake up, I roll over and there they are curled up together on the spare pillow. You'd think I did it on purpose! Of course everytime I go grab my camera to get a snap shot of them on the bed...they are once again on my side of the bed..lol!

Happy New Year Everyone!!!!

As you can tell, we partied too hard this holiday season, so we are kicking back and relaxing. Now that its a new year, I have to figure out what my kitties new year's resolutions will be. Perhaps to stop waking momma up at 3am? lol

Thanks everyone for the well wishes for a happy new year and right back to you as well, just incase I don't leave a message at your blog letting you know! Your comments are one the highlights of my day. :)

The kanoodling continues!

Sorry haven't posted in a few days, but holidays you know. Anyway, MeiLin and CGH are getting along very well now. They snuggle alot and wrestle and run up and down the hallway at 3am together.

December 24, 2006

Can you see me?

MeiLin is hidding in this bag to remind me to wrap something up for her for christmas, as if I could forget her!

MeiLin, Cashmere Growlypants Hunter(CGH), Ceasar, Empress, and the lone bean want to wish you all a very Merry Christmas. Have a happy, safe, sane Holiday season. Remember those who are in need and cuddle your pets a little closer to let them know how much you treasure their gifts of love.

Don't forget who's the Queen around here!

MeiLin wanted to make sure not to forget her, since the blog has been all mushy about Cashmere Growlypants(CG) lately. But I did want to give you all a little bit about his life story, even though he's only 4 months old.

His life started out with a loving and devoted momma kitty and several siblings. Unfortunetly his momma's owner wasn't able to care for them all properly and first momma kitty then all the babies got ringworm. There is nothing sadder then a bunch of furless sick baby kitties!
My friend (the cat lady of Silverton) stepped in and took over ownership and care for the babies and momma. She nursed them back to health and eventually their fur grew back and most of them found homes.
Now gonna back up a little here, CG was housed in a vet style kennel during his illness with his mom and littermates. Everyday my friend would go out several times a day and grab each kitty and rub medicine all over their furless bodies. As the different kitties healed at different rates, they eventually had to be seperated to prevent reinfection. So poor CG was all alone in his kennel and the only real contact he had with humans was someone smearing smelly stuff on his body daily as well as feeding him and caring for him. You have to be careful with petting kitties who have no fur and illness...so as not to hurt their skin. Anyway, long story short...you would think that because his experience with people wasn't all happy that he would end up a shy or nervouse kitty, but he didn't. Infact, very much the opposite.
As soon as I brought him home he bonded with me and followed me around. He cries if I'm in the computer room too long. Now he's bonding very well with MeiLin who treats him as if he were her son. She holds him down to groom him and love on him. Its a very happy, satisfying, and full home now.
Its been a little over 3 months since Rajjah disappeared and I miss her everyday, but I think that having gotten MeiLin so unexpectedly has helped to heal my heart. And now that MeiLin has a little brother, I don't need to worry if I'm forced to be away overnight. She'll never be lonely with Mr. Cashmere Growlypants Hunter here to occupy her with play, wrestling and kanoodling time.

Caught in the act of Kanoodling!

I am so glad that the two of them are getting along now. I was really worried at first when I brought Cashmere Growlypants(CG) home. MeiLin would just look at CG and growl and stare and growl some more. She was looking at him like "Excuse me, what is this Thing doing in MY house?". But in just a few short days she has changed to more along the lines of "Sweet, you brought me a living toy!" lol. They run around the house, wrestle, and even Kanoodle! They were both sound asleep when I ran to grab the camera, but CG decided he had to find out what I was up to just as the shutter clicked.
I'll catch them both with their little eyes shut and furry dreams dancing in theirs heads one day!

Tomorrow I'll tell you about Cashmere Growlypants' early life.

Introducing the one and only Cashmere Growlypants

(aka, The Mighty Hunter!)

I am overwhelmed by all the great and sometimes very funny names that were put out there for me to chose from! I never have to worry if I have trouble naming a kitty again, I know that all the cat bloggers out there will help me!
Here is the official tally, only ones with more then 1 vote are here, look at yesterdays comments to see all the names:
Gizmo=4
Stormy=2
Big Furry Crybaby=One bean laugh, lots of annoyed furry ones. ;)
Hunter: 3
Velvet: 2
Nero:2
Cashmere:3
Cashmere Growlypants:6
I could have counted wrong, it was a long drive back...but anyway, I like the idea of a long name. His official name on his vet trips shall be Cashmere Growlypants Hunter. I'll probably call him all three different names during the course of the day, depending on his behavior at the moment..lol.
Thanks one and all!!!

I am the Nameless Wonder, adore my velvety self!

A little about my beautiful self. I am about 4 months old, neutered, boy kitty. I have pretty golden eyes and cashmere velvety black fur. I love to hunt my prey which is either a feather ball or a string on a wand. When I catches my prey I growl and try to take off with it. I am very insistent that the prey is now mine!
Also, If I am left alone for longer then I like I make little crying meows that sounds just like a bean baby. I can't help it, I's a youngster and I likes to know where the people is and where the big furry one is too. If they don't hides from me, then I'm fine. :)
Here are some names that people have thought might be right for me, you may vote by putting your favorite in the comments section, or adding a new one, and at the end of the day the lady will tally up the votes and let you know whats the winner.

Kane, Dubois, Salem, Batista or Booker.Gizmo or Mawgwi or Spike,Stormy,Zilla, Hunter, or Baghera (from the jungle story)Growly Pants and the big furry crybaby.

Hey, Thats my wheel!!

MeiLin and Growly Pants(aka, unnamed kitty) are getting along much better. Its progressed from her hissing and growling everytime he comes near her, to her only growling if she was surprised, to her chasing him and playing tag of some sort. At least, I'm gonna count it as playing since there's been no blood...seems a bit rough, but I think she's laying down the kitty law to him. I think in another few days they'll be cuddled up together like littermates. They fell asleep together on me this evening, she down by my feet and he on my knees (layed back recliner).

I'm still having intermitten outages with my internet so I'll try and get online around noon if possible and post a list of the names and my favorites and we can vote on them then. :)

Dec 15, 2006

You woke me up!

I had not heard MeiLin growl for awhile or the kitten running around so I went looking and found the boy down around the middle of the bed and MeiLin up at the head of the bed.

Of course it would have to be a cute moment for the kitties, when I happen to have not made my bed. And nothing matches..lol. The power was out last night, it was cold, I grabbed all the blankets for me! hehe
Anyway, go to the post for the 14th and take a peek in the comments section. Over this weekend I will gather all my favorite names, and everyone can help me vote for the favorite one. You can post name choices here on this post too.

Dec 14, 2006

Hello, what have we here?

This is a young neutered male kitty that I got so that MeiLin could have a companion and playmate. Unfortunately all she has done since he got here is hiss at him and growl when he gets too close. :(
I'm hoping they will bond over the next few days, if they can't get along I will have to find him a new loving home(because MeiLin was here first), but I'm hoping it will work out because he is really a sweet heart. Loves to be petted and play and just a happy guy. I think that with enough time that MeiLin will come around to having him here or at least maybe tolerate him.

If anyone has any good boy kitty names let me know and we can vote on all the different choices. I have my own personal idea...but I might be swayed if a really cool name pops up! So post in the comments and either tomorrow or Monday we will vote!

Boxes are so fun!

Don't know if you remeber that picture of MeiLin playing with the small box, well she climbed into it today and when I ran to get the camera she jumped out of it. I have no idea how she smooshed her body in there, but she managed somehow! Anyway, after some play time she got into this box and would swat at my fingers when I ran them infront of the box. She thought she was so smart to find a good hiding spot...she didn't realize I cut the box just right in order for her to have it to play in. :)

Ceasar enjoying(?)the snow

The snow has long since melted here, but I took a few pictures while it was around and I'll post them this next week. Is it just my imagination of does Ceasar look darker on his body then he use to? I should find a comparison photo, but he hates posing for me.
You can't even see his white paws very well cause it blends into the snow...hehe. However, no matter how his color changes, he is my darling big boy! I think that siamese are darker at the points because thats where the heat is on their body? And since he has eagerly added weight this winter, perhaps he's darker overall because he's warmer? Anyone with any information, please feel free to write in the comments section. :)

Soap Box Post

This is from a publication I get in my email. There should be links somewhere in the story so you can read more for yourself. The reason I am posting this on here is that I know alot of people make their donations around christmas time to wonderful caring charities as well as animal shelters, ect. I think that its important for everyone to be informed about the truth of PETA. Its true that this story is from 2005, however, if you research more about this orginization for yourself, I'm sure you will be angered at what you find. If a company wants to call themselves people for ETHICAL treatment of animals and say that they are working for the welfare of animals, they should NOT act like this group does. Please research for yourself before donating to a charity this holiday season. Drop off dry or canned dog/cat food at your local shelter, volunteer to clean kennels or walk dogs....there are many many ways to truely help animals.
Here is the article I'm talking about :

The following story is from This is True dated 17 July 2005. It is

:

"Ethical" Defined

After more than 100 dead dogs were dumped in a trash dumpster over
four weeks, police in Ahoskie, N.C., kept an eye on the trash receptacle
behind a supermarket. Sure enough, a van drove up and officers watched
the occupants throw in heavy plastic bags. They detained the two people
in the van and found 18 dead dogs in plastic bags in the dumpster,
including puppies; 13 more dead dogs were still in the van. Police say
the van is registered to the headquarters of People for the Ethical
Treatment of Animals, and the two occupants, Andrew B. Cook, 24, and
Adria Joy Hinkle, 27, identified themselves as PETA employees. An autopsy
performed on one of the dogs found it was healthy before it was killed.
Police say PETA has been picking up the animals -- alive -- from North
Carolina animal shelters, promising to find them good homes. Cook and
Hinkle have been charged with 62 felony counts of animal cruelty. In
response to the arrests PETA President Ingrid Newkirk said it's against
the group's policy for employees to dump animals in the trash, but "that
for some animals in North Carolina, there is no kinder option than
euthanasia." (Roanoke-Chowan News-Herald) ...Oops, my mistake: that's
"Playing God" Defined.

In his author's notes section, Cassingham had more to say about this
story:

The more I learn about PETA, the less I think of
them. The story of them killing animals isn't even unusual. According to
PETA's own filings, in 2004 PETA killed 86.3 percent of the
animals entrusted to its care -- a number that's rising, not falling.
Meanwhile, the SPCA in PETA's home town (Norfolk, Va.) was able to find
loving homes for 73 percent of the animals put in its care. A shortage of
funds? Nope: last year PETA took in $29 million in tax-exempt donations.
It simply has other priorities for the funds, like funding terrorism
(yes, really). But don't take my word for it: I got my figures from
http://www.PETAkillsAnimals.com
-- and they have copies of PETA's state and federal filings to back it
up. The bottom line: if you donate money to PETA because you think they
care for and about animals, you need to think some more. PETA literally
yells and screams about how others "kill animals" but this is how
they operate? Pathetic.

And you know what I wonder? PETA's official count of animals
they kill is 86.3 percent. But if they're going around picking up
animals, killing them while they drive around and not even giving them a
chance to be adopted, and then destroying the evidence by dumping
the bodies in the trash, are those deaths being reported? My
guess: no. While 86.3 percent is awful, the actual number is probably
much, much higher. How dare they lecture anyone
about the "ethical" treatment of animals!
